Fear is a liar

Over the past ten months, I have started numerous ventures and have taken on multiple roles at some of the world’s largest corporations. The only commonality between all of them is the fear that surfaces as soon as I commit. It is as if a dark cloud encircles me covering all the possibilities that I once saw and instead replaces them with negative outcomes that are both realistic and absurdly unrealistic. Once upon a time this fear paralyzed me but its that one time, that I decided to say “fuck it” and go for it, that I felt a sense of freedom. You see, fear is liar. It once served a purpose of protecting our ancestors from wild animals that were likely dangerous however today fear has lost most of it’s useful functionality. It has turned against us in a mission to keep us addicted to comfortable circumstances.

Unless we step out of our comfort zones, we can never become the best versions of ourselves. Through experience, you can teach yourself how to spot this deceiving voice of doubt and replace it with a vision of possibilities.
