2023 Q3 Review: Highlights of Legend of Arcadia
Time for a throwback of the quarter again, our fellow Arcadians. Legends of Arcadia (LOA) has been working hard on both the game and the community, successfully leaving our footprints outside Asia and achieving significant milestones. From engaging LOA Community Governance Proposals to a range of Web3 GameFi events around the globe, our dedication and the support of our passionate Arcadians have made this journey possible.
In this summary, we’ll delve into the highlights of our operations from July to September, including offline and online side events, all of which have enriched the Legend of Arcadia universe. Let’s delve into the highlights of this quarter!
🔧 Technical Upgrade
- Completed the design and smart contract development of Staking Pool; now users can stake $ARCA for rewards and rights.
- Completed the design and smart contract development of Referral; now users can invite friends to play LOA with the support of the incentive scheme.
- Completed the design and smart contract development of new NFT features, including Badge, PFP, Avatar frame, etc. In the future, users can mint these new NFTs.
🎮 Gaming Feature Upgrade
- Completed the development of Guild function; now users can form guilds with their friends and explore the world of LOA in teams.
- Added the personalised hero acquisition page for newbies guidance in Cashapon, in order to strengthen immersiveness and independence of the storyline.
- Revamped the homepage of the game; now there are 3 new buttons, including Guild, Toy Brawl, and Lottery.
- Optimised 4 game modes, including Mining, Astrolabe, Toy Brawl, and Lottery; upgraded the visual effects, user flow and user experience.
❓ Trouble-shooting
- Fixed the bug of inconsistent battle results between clients and the server.
- Fixed the bug of abnormal PVE battle replay.
- Fixed the bug of failed stunned effect under certain circumstances.
- Fixed the bug of failed dash when heroes are facing the middle of battleground.
- Fixed the bug of inconsistent collision effect under certain circumstances.
- Fixed the bug of certain buff types affecting immune effect.

LOA Community Governance Proposals
Proposal 1: The Knight’s Creed Prediction Event (Jun. 13th — 17th)
Proposal 2: LOA NFT Crossover (Jul. 11th — 15th)
Proposal 3: Squadopoly (Jul. 23th — 26th)
During Alpha Test 4.0, our 3rd proposal was launched alongside more exciting prediction events. We recorded a high 91% participation rate, with 50,279 Witness Passes minted and more than 45,000 predictions made. Our community has been growing at an astonishing rate!
LOA Special Season: Into the Space (Aug. 18th — 28th)
We were glad to be hand-picked as the Esteemed Game Partner for the “PLAYFEST — Connect in GamingVerse!” hosted by Ancient8/Space3. Therefore, we have launched the special season Into the Space in late-August, which consists of missions with rewards, guild gaming tasks and bug bounty program.
From our initial data, we saw almost 7,000 people completing our missions and tasks on the Space3/Ancienct8 platform, with over 200 gamers participating in the special season.
🏘️ Community-building
From day 1, Legend of Arcadia has been a game that does not only build community, but also builds around our community. Apart from all the in-game events, we also invest substantially in our social media platforms, including Twitter, Discord and Telegram. Let’s see what we have achieved so far in this quarter!
In the past quarter, more than 6,000 people have joined our Discord and at this moment, we have more than 38,000 members in the group. The highest number of daily messages hit 4,700. On average, our community live sessions have almost 1,000 comments.
For our Twitter account, we also have a continuous growth in terms of followers and post impressions: more than 2,600 new followers just in September already with around 40k impressions for our tweets, averaging 1,000 for each one. Now, we have 67.5k followers and are still counting!
🔥 Offline Events & Online Side Events
LOA in Paris: EthCC Enchanté Paris (Jul. 17th — 20th)
We were glad to be able to spread our presence all the way to France at EthCC Enchanté Paris, hosted by a major crypto trading platform CoinW.
LOA in Shanghai: ChinaJoy Web3 Game Summer (Jul. 29th)
On July 29th, LOA visited Shanghai to be a part of the ChinaJoy Web3 Game Summer hosted by Mirror World. Our ambassador Starling was also there!
GameFi Suinami Wave in Hong Kong (Aug. 20th — 28th)
Talking about campaigns, how could we forget our hometown Hong Kong! We have organised an online-offline campaign GameFi Suinami Wave in Hong Kong in late-August. On the online front, we have partnered with four Web3 projects and have gained more than 14,000 impressions on Twitter; over 500 participants have obtained a share of our massive prize pool. At our physical booth, we also got around 800 visitors coming for our game demo and selfie-taking with our Heroes!
LOA in Korea (Sep. 6th)
In early September, our team was in Seoul for the Korea Blockchain Week and a series of GameFi events. Our Executive Producer Andy was a speaker among other industry experts at 2023 Game Ascend. We then proceeded to the Web3 Gaming Hackathon Pre-Final and finally to the KBW Grand Party. Despite the packed schedule, we got much out of these events!

We had the pleasure to invite Anthony Palma, Game Partnerships and Investments Lead from Mysten Labs, to share with us his thoughts on the practicalities of building GameFi projects on Sui.

In this LOA Roundtable session, we have invited Winchman and Harry, Co-founders of 852 Web3, a prominent local Web3 community to talk about the GameFi landscape in Hong Kong.

LOA x Mysten Labs Partnership (Jul. 10th)
We were delighted to announce our partnership with Mysten Labs, the creator of Sui Network. This is a huge milestone for LOA and we will continue to work closely with Mysten Labs to construct a well-rounded ecosystem on Sui.
Bronze — Sui x Kucoin Labs Summer Hackathon (Jul. 25th)
In late July, our team participated in the Sui x Kucoin Labs Summer Hackathon. Competing with dozens of GameFI projects in the field, we were awarded the Bronze award in the Gaming & AIGC category. Our utmost gratitude to the organisers and congratulations to all the other winners!
Champion — Web3 Gaming Hackathon 2023（Sep. 11th)
In early-Sep, our team flew to Singapore to attend the Grand Final of Web3 Gaming Hackathon 2023, which was co-hosted by ABGA, Iskra, Klaytn and CESS. Out of the Top10 Web3 games, we emerged as the final winner! Thank you to all the other teams, our supporters and hosts.
🌞 Outlook: Final Stage of Development
The 3rd quarter has been an eventful journey for Legend of Arcadia, marked by successful community governance proposals and active participation in worldwide events, which all play an essential role in building our community.
What we have built so far is no easy feat, so our sincere gratitude to all our supporters and Sui Network! We are trying our best to complete the final optimization of the game and hopefully when we see you next time, we have some great news to share with you.
