Good article! If I may suggest, the phrase I highlighted needn’t be part of the subheading’s definition. Nevertheless, the fact experts tend to show greater restraint and have greater willingness to be incorrect or even change their positions is part of what feeds those who do overestimate themselves. In the end, the Dunning-Kruger Effect is about the inability to recognize one’s shortcomings and inflate their faculty.
