The Cavs front office is throwing shade at the Pacers. Owner Dan Gilbert said that the Pacers could have done better for Paul George. It is interesting that he would talk about the Pacers situation as he deals with his trade crisis.

The Cavs leadership talked highly about Kyrie and that he is a core piece of what they are trying to do, Pointing out that Kyrie is under contract and that he may need to suck it up and play for Cleveland for the two or three years remaining on his deal. Kyrie has a player option after two years that would allow him to opt in or out and then test the free agency market. The Suns remain a team that could be a part of a deal with the Cavs, although it is looking much less likely that Kyrie ends up with a PHX across his chest next season.

The Diamondbacks are still one game ahead of the Rockies for second place in the NL West but have fallen to third in the National League behind the Washington Nationals. The Diamondbacks may want to start looking over their shoulder as the Cubs and Brewers are closing in. The Cubs are 4.5 back, and the Brewers are five games back, but if they leap ahead of the Dbacks and the Rockies find a way also, The snakes could end up on the outside looking in. Arizona could use a post season run, something that all four major sports missed out on last season.

You know what, as I say this, I think all four major sports teams in the Phoenix area could end up in the post season. The Suns and Coyotes are a stretch bet, to say the least, but I think it could happen.
