McGregor vs. Mayweather and the Cardinals Dress Rehearsal

Lots to talk about in the next two minutes. The biggest event of the weekend was obviously the Mayweather vs. McGregor fight. I am not here to bash on Conor, but his fans are driving me crazy. I was told over and over that Conor’s power and timing would be Floyd’s demise.

On the other side, you had guys like Max Kellerman that said Conor wouldn’t land a punch and that wasn’t right with 111 shots landed on Floyd. But there is no moral victory for Conor here.

With his noticeable size, youth and power advantages after a 111 successful punches, Floyd got stronger as the fight went on. Sure Conor gassed, but if his shots were effective at all, Floyd shouldn’t have had enough in the tank to dominate Conor the way that he did in the last two rounds.

I don’t want to hear anything more about moral victories, essentially asking for a participation trophy saying, well at least he tried, Floyd would never even try MMA. Of course, cause Floyd is about winning, not trying.

Then the Cardinals played their dress rehearsal preseason game against the NFC Champion Atlanta Falcons. The Cardinal starters dominated the first half despite a couple of fumbles by Chris Johnson. John Brown looked great and had two touchdowns on two receptions with a total of 49 yards.

Honeybadger had another interception off a pass that was tipped by Carlos Dansby. All of the Cardinal’s secondary played lights out and held Matt Ryan to 4/11 passing for 36 yards and the previously mentioned interception. That is an almost impressively low rating of 8.1 for the previous years MVP.

Finally, Game of Thrones was fantastic. I won’t say anything else today, but if you want to chat about it, hit me up on twitter.

Sage Academy still has openings in first grade through fifth grade, so if you know a student that is not excelling in their current environment. It may be time for a school of choice like Sage Academy.
