Preparing for your breast surgery should always be done with the advice of your doctor. Stay in close coordination with their team as chances are you’ll be contacted for urgent reminders or instructions.

It’s important that you familiarize yourself with the steps involved in every phase of your breast enlargement surgery in Singapore. Prior your surgery, you’ll be meeting your doctor and even the staff that will be assisting them. If you have any concerns, say fear or anxiety about undergoing surgeries, they will be able to offer suggestions so you can feel relaxed throughout your session.

Here’s a quick rundown of basic preparation tips for receiving breast implants in Singapore.

1. Stop smoking. Cigarettes and or tobacco contain poisonous substances, such as nicotine, that may slow down your recovery. These substances interfere with the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to your cells. You will need as much oxygen and nutrients to help with faster healing of your wounds and protect you from infections after surgery.

2. Avoid taking certain medications. Some medications, such as Ibuprofen, may have blood-thinning components in them. It’s best to avoid them before having your surgery. If you are regularly taking any of these medicines prior your surgery, ask your physician for safer alternatives. Talk to your other doctors ahead of time about the surgery you’ll be undertaking so they can adjust your treatment plan if necessary.

3. Let your doctor know if you pick up any sickness. Whether it’s common colds or fever, be sure to advise your doctor immediately. Your target date for getting breast fillers or any related surgery in Singapore may have to be moved until you feel better. Your doctor will also be able to recommend ways you can recover from your sickness safely.

4. Pay attention to your clothing. Put on loose clothing on the day of your surgery. You may also want to bring your own kit to use after your surgery. This kit should contain your important valuables such as identification cards and cards.

5. Be sure to arrange company and transportation. Make sure to arrange your transportation ahead of time. Ask someone you trust to take you to the clinic, drive you home, and stay with you for the next 24 hours at least. You need to be there at the clinic at least two hours before your procedure so take ample of rests before your appointment. And iron out everything you need done as early as possible so you won’t have to worry about anything on the day of your surgery.

6. Postpone personal errands. You can go home after your surgery but you still need to take rests. You need someone to keep you company even with normal activities such as walking or going to the bathroom. You may be prone to falling or tripping so it’s best to have someone assist you. If you can take a longer vacation from work, that will work best so you can stay at home and relax.

Most important, be sure you’re getting your breast surgery only from trained and licensed professionals in Singapore or anywhere you are. Your utmost priority should always be your safety.
