I Cry

I do not cry because I lost all my money

I cry because I am selfish with what I have

I do not cry because I forgot to put the rice cooker knob on “cook” (and it’s still on warm)

I cry because I didn’t give the starving brother some to eat

I do not cry because my friends call me names

I cry because fail to impact their lives

I do not cry because I fell in a gutter

I cry because the pain hurt so badly

I do not cry because I my Wi-Fi is deplorable

I cry because I can’t come up with something to overhaul its invention

I do not cry because people are dying

I cry because people are letting people die

I do not cry because I failed my math test

I cry because I don’t have a clue how to apply Calculus in my catering career

I do not cry because I don’t have

I cry because I fail to appreciate what I have

I do not cry because I make mistakes

I cry because fail to learn from those mistakes

I do not cry because I am insulted and criticized

I cry because those who do are naive of the truth

I do not cry because I fail to speak to people in public

I cry because I fail to give them The Word, the punch lines

I do not cry because I am sad

I cry because I laughed so hard
