This is how I increased my grandfather’s business sales over 200% at age 12

This is when I realized I can be a good marketer at very young age

Nine years ago, my grandfather started a chocolate and biscuits company which will sell at the railway and bus station of a city(Janagam) in India.

Due to an occasion, I happened to visit the village along with my family at that time. There, my grandfather expressed his sadness to my father and told him how the sales were very low and how he may go bankrupt. I overheard this conversation from the other adjacent room.

On the evening of the same day I got the following idea whilst playing -

I know why my friends buy Dairy Milk or Twix or 5 star or mars chocolates. It is because they are famous. So why not make our chocolates famous?

GrandPa said — How? Please don’t say advertising because we don’t have money

I immediately responded-

“I know. But all we have to do is let people know that our chocolates exist and that they are good.

Why not throw our chocolate and biscuit covers near dustbins, playgrounds, schools and colleges?

By doing this, people will at least get to know about us and how good our stuff is as they would assume a lot of other people are consuming our products.

After listening to me, everyone was amazed and impressed by the idea. GrandPa instantly said — I’ll do it.

After a few months, we got a call from my Grandfather and he explained how his sales increased by 200% and how proud he was of me.

Instantly, I became the star of my family and was showered with gifts.

There’s no rocket science to this.

It’s all about understanding the target audience. Everyone knows this but they often fail to do it.

Feel free to use this idea and also pardon me for promoting me and my startup below —

Today, at age 20, after doing so many crazy creative growth hacks(which I’ll write about later on) , I’m now one of the founding member of a startup called — Forhyre (Currently we are in pre-alpha version and expected to hit production in the next 6 months)

We hope to make life easier for people by changing how corporate service companies and freelancing works by changing the traditional system of taking projects from clients which helps them to reduce costs to clients by at least 40% and increasing opportunities and income for effective employees/freelancers through our startup.

Because future is about freelancing and finding a good freelancer is so tough.

We are working hard on this. I hope you wouldn’t mind checking our product in near future.
