Free Speech and Hate Speech
Yonatan Zunger

You said that there is no moral argument for free speech. How about this: I am a human being and other humans don’t have the authority to silence me because what I say hurts their feelings or is offensive, and if they do try to silence me, I have the right to resist. Force is only justified in self defence, and being called a racial slur or shouted at doesn’t constitute force or violence, so a response of force is wrong. Hate speech laws are fascistic and people like Antifa are fascists if they call for or enforce the silencing of others for their opinions.
