How you react to events is influenced by several factors that, isolated or with others, affect your emotional state.

Those factors are internal (your mood or health) and external, like your surroundings. Your personal space affects your well-being, both in a positive or a negative way.

A cluttered space will influence your ability to concentrate, the same way a clean, tidy one will help you to relax.

We are sensitive to our surroundings; including — be amazed — by the colours! Each colour has a different effect on you, either transmitting calm sensations, or their opposite.

The theory of colours having the power of affecting our health is centuries old; it goes back to ancient Egypt and Greek. Later, chromotherapy gave us a deeper insight into colours.

Chromotherapy is an alternative medicine; it uses colours as a mean to help the body achieve its best performance.

Psychology took an interest in the effects of colours in well-being. It created a new speciality: colour psychology.
