For many women working in the arts successfully? Yes, that was their Plan B, whether they planned it that way or not. Women have told me tell me point blank they would not be able to survive on their salary without their husband’s income to help support them. If both of them are working in the arts and they decide to start a family, it doesn’t seem to get any easier.
