A drawing of the city as a collection of architectural eccentricities

ASSESSMENT TASK 2 : DRAWING/NOTATION

The book i choose to research is “Made in Tokyo” and “Pet Architecture Guidebook” by Atelier Bow Wow. In her guidebook, she shows the various buildings in Tokyo. The architecture is a function of two or more than two gathered in the same building, sometimes the odd shape.Some buildings is an independent individual, in a complex. They tend to have a strange shape. These buildings filled the narrow space in the city, with minimal construction area to achieve their purpose. This method is very effective to relieve the pressure of land use, and especially in big cities like Tokyo.

The technique I choose is “a drawing of the city as a collection of architectural eccentricities” by Atelier Bow Wow. I found two building to draw which are around the UTS in Sydney.

I choose these two elements, to imitate her painting style, using the point of a thick line, and the network map, to show you how the architecture is influenced by the environment.
