This Week on Let’s Loop

In a busy week for new music, the most exciting news has to be the return of synthpop legends Chromatics. Why are we so excited? Where to start… their last album, Kill For Love, was one of the best of 2012; their cover of Neil Young’s Hey Hey, My My (Into The Black) is easily the best one ever recorded; they managed to be the sexiest thing in a film that starred Ryan Gosling (Drive); and don’t even get us started on their cover of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. So yeah, even if their album’s already 18 months late (it was meant to be out Valentine’s Day, 2015), we couldn’t be more excited the title track, Dear Tommy, is finally here.

In other comeback news, Bon Iver shared the first taste of their new album this morning. 33 GOD comes just 2 weeks after their 22 / 10 single, which contains 2 extended versions of songs from the new album, and it’s pretty damn great.

This week also saw the return of Empire of the Sun, ceo, Thundercat and Mick Jenkins (who brought jazz quartet BADBADNOTGOOD along for the ride), as well as a bunch of great new songs from upcoming albums (Local Natives, Usher, Keane’s Tom Chaplin, The Divine Comedy & more) and soundtracks (hi, Flo).

Dive into them individually below or listen to them all in one handy playlist here.
