Poor Emily had, as a woman, an embarassing treatment in Italy. Last summer, when she was on holiday in my country, posting photos of her at the seaside in bikini, people started invading Facebookcommentssaying #escile, which means #showyourtits. That soon became viral, and lot of italian sexists started using this not only as a one time funny joke, but also as a continuous and explicit request to every prosperous girl: that escalated quickly, you would say! So #escile implied not only that the woman had to expose herself, but also that was the only thing she was meant to do. Italian internet exploded later on, when a model agreed whith #escile, and men started thinking that was a good way to approach girls (seriously, it looks unrealistic, I know, but I swear things went really all wrong). Women, than, used to say “no” to their #escile request and, as a reaction, people tended to look at them as bitches (again, I know it looks incredible, but still…). And so this is the sad story of how, in Italy, year 2016, women became disciminated once again.

This is just one part of the story, there was also another parallel event happening (the friendzone movement) but it would take us a bit too out of the way. Sorry for possible grammar mistakes :D
