Pima Air & Space Museum — Tours and Activities
A real estate investor with more than five decades of experience, Lew McGinnis is the owner of a real estate investment firm in Oklahoma. Lew McGinnis also has a long history of community involvement and is a former director of Pima Air & Space Museum.
Located in Tucson, Pima Air & Space Museum is one of the world’s largest privately-funded air and space museums. The museum opened in 1976 and has since grown to include more than 300 historical aircraft, including a 787 Dreamliner, a Wright Flyer, and numerous planes from World War II.
The Pima Air & Space Museum offers guided walking tours and a 1.5-mile Tram Tour across 80 acres featuring over 150 planes. Also hosting special events, the museum runs a program called Soarin’ Saturdays for Kids, during which children build model planes and learn about aviation. The museum also welcomes school groups and youth groups and provides youth with docent-guided tours.
