At least for the foreseeable future, “Money for nuthin’” (and your drinks for free) appears to work to lift nearly everyone gifted out of their hole (to some degree). And the fears that free-cash would be wasted are unfounded.
As the inequality scale’s fulcrum slides ever further to the right
(90% poor _________ | _ 10% wealthy)
one would think that the wealthy may eventually realize that it’s either pitchforks and chaos — or — the acknowledgement that it’s those on the left who buy the stuff that those on the right’s companies make and distribute. Without consumers (the poor) there are no profits.
Convincing them of this, in my opinion, however, is impossible.
