That nature one-lined poem prompt inspired this?
Tre L. Loadholt

Yes ma’am. This was all you. I read the one line poem prompt and not ten minutes later a thunderstorm was pounding outside my window so I opened it. It’s been months since it last rained here and the smell of it on the dry, scorched earth brought her to me. Only she didn’t leave after responding to your prompt. She hijacked me. She made me write her story so she could leave. I would have had no vacancies for others to come and tell me their stories otherwise.

That was one hell of a prompt, I tell you.

Can’t wait to see who the next one brings along.

I am glad you enjoyed it.
