The title seems incorrect, JS has been asynchronous for a long time. There is the DOM Event which is async. There is the Promise which is async and finally we have Ajax for making async HTTP requests.
Maybe what you meant to say was, “JS is finally getting async/await”, which is already available in the latest version on Nodejs.
