Spider-Man is often a fictional superhero appearing in American comics published by Marvel Comics. The was made by writer-editor Stan Lee and writer-artist Steve Ditko, and first appeared within the anthology comic Amazing Fantasy within the Silver Ages of Comic Books. Lee and Ditko conceived the as a possible orphan being raised by his Aunt May and Uncle Ben, so that as a teenager, having to deal with the standard struggles of adolescence together with that relating to a costumed crime-fighter. Spider-Man’s creators gave him super strength and agility, the opportunity to hang on to most surfaces, shoot spider-webs using wrist-mounted devices of their own invention, that she calls “web-shooters”, and respond to danger quickly together with his “spider-sense”, enabling him to combat his foes. And later as part of his life founded his very own company call Parker Industries.
When Spider-Man first appeared in early 1960s, teenagers in superhero comic books were usually relegated on the role of sidekick on the protagonist. The type was initially portrayed in live action by Nicholas Hammond within the 1977 television movie Spider-Man. In films, Spider-Man has become portrayed by actors Tobey Maguire (2002–2007) and Andrew Garfield (2012–2014),while Tom Holland portrays the character inside the Marvel Cinematic Universe, first appearing in Captain America: Civil War in 2016. Reeve Carney starred as Spider-Man in the 2010 Broadway musical Spider-Man: Let down the Dark.
