Refugee Round-Up News — Week of January 24, 2016
Here’s a recap of refugee news, at home and abroad.
At home news:
At home, Democrats in the Senate blocked a vote on a bill passed by the Republican-led House that would have tighten the vetting restrictions on Syrian and Iraqi refugees. The roll call of the bill can be found here and the full text of the concise bill introduced and passed by the House can be found here. Every Democrat, with the exception of Sen. Heitkamp (D-ND) and Sen. Manchin (D-W. Va), halted a vote on this bill. The bill itself was in response to the San Bernardino jihadist Tashfeen Malik, a co-conspirator who killed 14 people and seriously injured 22. Her K-1 fiancee visa was approved despite the fact immigration officials asked for proof the couple had met in person as is required by that specific visa, yet little proof was offered for their in-person meeting. Her visa was processed despite that lack of proof and two short years later she ushered in total hell for one California community. Two months after the attacks, the Senate Democrats, always quick to do what is of course not in the best interest of the U.S., choose politics over common sense reform that would have strengthen our immigration standards for fiancee visas. If you live in a state with a Democratic Senator, ask them today for an explanation on their ‘no’ vote. You deserve one.
Bill Gates, virtue-signaler extraordinaire, would like you to know that the U.S. should accept more refugees. The man has an aquarium that appears to have more square footage than my current home. He also has an in-home theater that would seat at least 20 people. So the obvious follow-up question to Mr. Gates would be as such, how many refugees would you personally welcome into your own home? You can probably take a guess how that question would be answered.
Now for news abroad:
In Cologne news, the victim count as documented by local law enforcement is currently over 1,000 people. Of all the complains filed, to date only 30 suspects have been identified. All are of “North-African origin” and 15 are asylum seekers. The full list of the crime report can be found here. If there is one link you can click on in this piece, please click that last link. Scroll through it. See how far you get before you feel physically ill. As you scroll through that list of offenses, remind yourself that the Mayor of Cologne, a woman nonetheless, told women they should adopt a ‘Code of Conduct’ to avoid being groped in public by these men. I’m not a government bureacrat, but I’m hard pressed to think what type of ‘Code’ women could adopt to avoid this.
Beyond, Cologne, the deranged members of the IMF laughably argued this week the influx of millions of ‘refugees’ into Europe could monetarily strengthen the EU, with the caveat that ‘success’ depends upon ‘how well they’re integrated into the labor market’. The IMF should consult Sweden on how well assimilation of migrants is working out for it; the lead Swedish unemployment agency predicts that by this time next year, 60% of the unemployed in Sweden will be foreign-born individuals. Take the criminal aspect of what has become Sweden out of the equation, and click here to see the devastating effects immigration has had on its already bloated welfare state.
In the running for ‘Say-what-now??’ news involving multicultural fails and Sweden, Stockholm has issued a directive that police officers are banned from listing a suspect’s race or nationality on “routine” crimes as not to give the appearance of race-based motives in crimes. Note: Burglary is considered a “routine crime”. This insanity comes on the heels of a Cogone-styled assaults that took place just week before in Stockholm. Is there even any dispute at this point this country has committed national suicide?
In other Sweden-has-done-lost-its-everloving-mind news, a woman captured on video the moment a group of young men, identity otherwise unknown save this video, asked her to “make the sex”. He was somewhat gentlemanly though, as he did offer to pay her to “make the sex”. Nice to see these men are assimilating into the very culture that welcomed them with open arms.
Calais now has its first radio station, dubbed “Jugula Radio”, because when one one thinks of refugees, who doesn’t think of a radio station led by said refugees? Welcome 2016 — you’re off to a fabulous start! That said, at least a ‘refugee radio station’ is more productive than setting your new taxpayer-provided home on fire.
Parts of Germany are now confiscating possessions of said refugees in return for their lodging, food, and other expenses. The practice has been defended as federal law dictates asylum seekers must raise their own funds before receiving any form of aid. It’s an unseemly move to say the least. Denial of asylum seekers would be the better solution if the states are unable to provide assistance, then again, they do not have much choice at this point. Frau Merkel has mandated the acceptance of millions of refugees in the coming years in the hopes it balances out the labor shortage. What better logic is there than to hope that working- and fighting-age men (assuming these people are even from Syria) who fled their country and left their women and children behind are going to wave a German flag and start contributing to the tax system? She seems smart. What started out as Willkommenskultur, or a “welcome culture”, has quickly devolved into TakeYourShit-tur, (loosely translated of course, as I’m not fluent in German) because Germany is now just desperately overwhelmed by its idiotic immigration decisions at the hand of its few elites. But they of course, like our elites, just know better.
To end the week with some positivity, the Mayor of Bavaria sent the refugees he was required to accept to Frau Merkel’s office by bus.
Tune in to the next installment of refugee round-up news!
Update: A biggie I just spotted, and it’s deeply disturbing. Germany has lost track of some 600,000 refugees from the 1.1 million it took in last year. Breitbart News lays out different possibilities for the missing, it could be clerical. If it’s more than that, well, that’s bad, bad news laying in wait.
