Mistaken “Identity”

Facts trump feelings.

I’ve had to repeat these words to myself daily. As a tiny percentage of the population, transgender individuals wield a disproportionate amount of power and influence in society today. Logic has been hijacked by labels. Many people think that identifying and promoting their sexual preferences in their social media bios is the hip thing to do.

I cannot imagine what it is like to live with gender dysphoria, to feel like I am the opposite gender that God made me. I have empathy for those with this struggle. However, I don’t think that laws need to be created or amended to cater to this tiny segment of society. I believe that most people with gender dysphoria can, through therapy, learn to accept and be at peace with their birth gender.
