Welcome to the first issue of our weekly summary, published every Friday. As an exception this week’s summary includes the past two weeks, i.e. from the 25th August until the 8th September.

Please note, we can’t describe every little detail we work on. Below are only the more interesting topics and tasks listed.

Development

LiskHQ/lisk

  • Released Lisk v0.3.3, fixing a critical inTransfer/outTransfer bug.
  • Completed initial resolution to the address collision bug #266.
  • Implemented optional and configurable API rate limiting, to protect nodes against attacks or misuse by third parties #231.
  • Expanded API test coverage, fixing numerous API bugs including #264 and #269, and laying the groundwork for extending the coverage much further.
  • Closed issue #258, allowing highest available snapshot round to be easily selected when performing snapshots.
  • Code base now fully linted and standardised to ES5, preparing for a future transition to a ES6.
  • Continued to refactor large portions of the code base.

LiskHQ/lisk-website

  • Removed TransformPR from the front page.
  • Added BitcoinPRBuzz to the front page.
  • Added WachsmanPR to the front page.
  • Updated the download page to the latest Lisk version.
  • Updated the team page.
  • Updated the careers page.
  • Updated the contact us page.
  • Start working on the bug bounty page.

LiskHQ/lisk-nano

  • Added support for second passphrase.
  • Added support for BIP39 passphrases with 12, 15, 18 (..) words.
  • Auto login after a new account is created.

LiskHQ/lisk-ui

  • Added Polish translation.

Marketing

  • Bought a press release package at BitcoinPRBuzz.
  • Partnered up with WachsmanPR for public relations service.
  • Attended a Blockchain Meetup in Berlin.
  • Negotiated LSK acceptance for the ICONOMI ICO.

Community

  • Prepared the questions and answers for the Technical Lisk Community Meeting.
  • Met two Lisk community members in individual meetings, the third one didn’t appear.
  • Met two cryptocurrency community members in one meeting.
  • Finished review process for new ambassadors on several applicants.

Management

  • Dismissed Francois-Xavier Thoorens from the Lisk team, we thank him for the work on the Lisk core completed in May, June, and early July.
  • Withdrew 178.5 BTC from the Coinbase multi-signature account for expanding the team and pay ongoing expenses.
  • Prepared the necessary funds for the gGmbH registration (25,000€).
  • First call with a company which will support us in the hiring process of two back end and two front end developers.
  • Communicated with CloudFlare to review their DDoS protection services.
