Hello everybody. The LISK project and it’s enthusiasts are always busy, and this week past has certainly been no exception.

Seeing is believing, so here is a recap of the highlights and interesting items from the past week on the LISK subreddit and beyond…..

Coinsave.io and crossexchange.io show their support of Lisk

Lisk Gains Two New Exchanges and a FIAT Pairing!

It’s been a good two weeks for the Lisk project on the exchange front. On Friday evening (January 11) we had the following announcement from Coinsave.io, a Canada based crypto exchange… “We’re announcing support for Lisk on Coinsave for Canadian dollar pairing. Existing and new users will now be able to directly buy Lisk for CAD on the Coinsave platform. All new and existing users will now have access to Lisk along with the following features: Buying Lisk with CAD, Selling Lisk for CAD, Sending Lisk to an external wallet (Early 2019)”. It is great to see this Fiat on-ramp for Lisk announced. You can begin to buy LSK with Canadian dollars by signing up here.

The second exchange of the weekend was announced on the following Sunday. This was crossexchange.io. Based out of Azerbaijan, Cross exchange begins deposits and withdrawals of Lisk today (January 14), with full trading starting tomorrow (Tuesday, January 15). The initial trading pair will be LSK / BTC. Cross exchange host their own token also, namely XEX. Holders of this token have the right to receive a dividend from Cross exchange, the right to vote on the selection of new currencies, and the right to participate in major decisions of the exchange. You should be able to see Lisk begin to be listed here sometime during the next two days.

Lisk Center Utrecht invite you to get up close and personal with the creative space.

Lisk Community Invited to the First Lisk Center Utrecht Meetup!

We have scrutinized the sneak peak images of the LCU (Lisk Center Utrecht) created in Sketchup by an interior design group known as “The Home Factory”. We have gazed upon the on-going build photos that the Dutch community involved in the build have been regularly uploading (thanks, folks). Now those behind the Lisk Center Utrecht invite you to get up close and personal with the creative space when they host their first ever meetup within its walls. Their official meetup post says… “This event will have something for everyone in the blockchain scene, regardless of whether you are a Lisk follower or a blockchain enthusiast wanting to learn more about the Lisk Center Utrecht”.

The big date is Thursday, February 21, 2019 and even though it is a good bit away yet, you had better be fast, as at the time of writing this there were only 42 places left. Tickets can be booked here.

Community driven and supported by Lisk HQ, this Lisk center with its over 200 square metres of office space will act as a shared working space for those building within the Lisk ecosystem. It should be a great reveal and meetup on February the 21st!

GNY’s Beta API allows developers to harness the predictive power trapped in historical data.

Lisk Machine Learning Tokens Have Begun Powering GNY’s Beta API.

GNY, the team behind the LML (LISK Machine Learning) project have launched the beta version of their universal API system. It is currently in its open test phase, for organisations wishing to use Machine Learning systems utilising blockchain.

Chief R&D Officer and Co-founder of GNY, Richard Jarritt said “Within the next 24 hours, the API plug in details will be open to the public to view on github. I’m very pleased to bring this technology live and look forward to rolling out many products in the coming year! Currently we are looking for several test companies that would like to also join this initial phase, and we welcome any connections the Lisk community may have”.

Currently the Beta API is optimized for retail and publishing predictions, so it can recommend specific products for customers, or specific articles based on their user history. It allows developers to harness the predictive power trapped in historical data, and translate it into secure recommendations stored on the blockchain. Even better, the actions taken (or not taken) by customers are recorded and further refine the accuracy of future recommendations. This predictive recommendation process starts with a clients data.

The GNY API tool works best for users with large volumes of historical data and the GNY team and Lisk community member Lemii have worked together to make that uploading as seamless as possible. Lemii is the original creator of “The Lisk File Manager; a web UI to send and download files over the Lisk network, so it is no surprise that he was asked to work with the LML and GNY team on data storage on chain.

There are five easy steps to allow you get started and unlock the predictive power in your data. You can view those steps here and start the journey that smart companies will follow to when improving their connection to their customers!

LML (Lisk Machine Learning) to be used as an example of how scalable Lisk can be with sidechains.

Lisk Central America to Speak at Their Regions First Major Blockchain Conference.

Lisk Central America is an organization with the intention of bringing awareness of the LISK blockchain application platform and Blockchain in general to Central America. So we are talking, Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama. Now generally the groups main focus is local meetups, but on this particular occasion the collective are taking a step into the conference circuit.

Software Architect, Jake Simmons, will represent LISK Central America at TicoBlockChain 2019 with his talk on ‘Scaling blockchain horizontally with Lisk’. Within this talk he plans on using the LML (Lisk Machine Learning) project as an example of how scalable Lisk can be with sidechains. Jake’s talk will take part in the midst of the conference’s speaker collection of lawyers, developers, educators, banking executives, investment professionals, their keynotes, panel talks and fireside chats.

You can read more about TicoBlockChain 2019 here and book tickets if you happen to be in the San Jose, Costa Rica region. For those of us who cannot make the trip we will have to cross our fingers and hope Jake gets someone to film his turn on the stage. Best of luck, Lisk Central America and Jake.

ADAMANT Anonymous Messenger allows you to send messages AND cryptocurrency tokens.

Lisk’s Connection to an Anonymous Messenger with Token Sending Ability.

US Youtuber and Lisk community member Illucifer has released a new video titled “ADAMANT Anonymous Messenger | Encrypted Privacy via Blockchain | Holds Lisk + Ethereum”. In the video Illucifer explains ADAMANT Anonymous Messenger in this way…. “ADAMANT is essentially Lisk cloned code with an encrypted privacy messenger.

Personally I have to admit it looks pretty slick from what I can see in the video. It is a pity though that they did not actually wait to build on an actual Lisk sidechain as it probably means less interoperability between ADAMANT and any future Lisk sidechans. However, I reckon it could be possible for the messenger to migrate to a Lisk sidechain properly when the option becomes available, thus giving access to other sidechains and possibly the rumored delegate and DEX marketplaces.

One of the biggest boons of ADAMANT Anonymous Messenger is it allows you to send messages AND cryptocurrency tokens. Currently you can send three different cryptocurrencies with it, namely LSK, ETH and the ADAMANT token, ADM. Then you have the anonymity aspect with no need to register or enter any info to use the app, no emails, no phone numbers, no access to user device’s data (like address book or location), and your IP is hidden for interlocutors. In the video creators opinion ADAMANT beats Wickr, Signal, and Telegram.

In his sign off statement, Illucifer, had this to say…. “If Lisk HQ can pull this off and you can build this app in Javascript come the release of the long awaited SDK. Damn, that is ground breaking, world shaking S&!t. Adamant is just one application and Lisk is building a software developement kit that will allow you to build applications like this on top of the Lisk blockchain”.

I like the thought of that! You can see the full video here and see what you think of it yourself. Don’t forget to give the Youtube channel of the original poster a thumbs up.
