Last week I wrote a short post introducing the inaugural week of the Top Ten Podcasts, and after a week of collecting and counting votes, the results are in.

I couldn’t be more thrilled with the voter turn out (a sentence not often muttered, I know), and the results are pleasantly surprising.

For the sake of brevity, I’ll simply say that podcast listeners affirmed my faith in social discovery. The Top Ten List did not engage in iTunes chart mimicry, nor did The List snub the sonic stories of the beloved incumbents.
