Meet Litecoin Lead Developer Adrian Gallagher.
The team behind Litecoin is bigger than you think and while most prefer to stay out of the limelight, we want to introduce to you those powering Litecoin starting with Australian based, Litecoin Core lead Adrian Gallagher aka Thrasher_AU
Adrian has been with the project since its inception in 2011 and has been tirelessly working on maintaining the code of Litecoin since. It is in the last few years however where Adrian has stepped up to become the leader of ‘Litecoin Core’ development, making decisions such as the exclusion of RBF and the move to lead acceptance of the controversial Segregated Witness proposal, much to the delight of those using Litecoin.
Despite not being very active on social media averaging about 1 tweet a year, Adrian is prolific when it comes to maintaining Litecoin to the point where on numerous occasions he has completely stopped what he was doing to rush home and make any code changes, improvements and fix any issues and bugs as soon as he discovers or is notified of them.
In August 2017, Adrian was the first full time developer to be hired by the Litecoin Foundation, a Singapore based non for profit, to fund his continued independant work on the Litecoin Core client and as a way to show gratitude for his work on the project over the many years of volunteering.
