Today we’re excited to introduce you all to Little Atlas!

You might be asking — what Little Atlas is? Well it is a web3 social network on a virtual map of the world.

Little Atlas lets you:

  • Buy and sell land tiles as NFTs anywhere on the map
  • Easily find other web3 natives and communities nearby
  • Create and fund new communities in your local area

We are calling on all web3 community managers, NFT collectors and web3 enthusiasts to join us for our initial district sale in February!

Our vision

What if the future of social was in the hands of the people? We’re harnessing web3 technologies to create the first social network that’s owned by its users.

We will begin by launching a way for anyone to discover and join local communities, however our vision extends far beyond this. We are building the foundation for an open universe with thousands of interconnected social experiences — we call this the Metanetwork.

When the Metanetwork launches, web3 developers will be able to connect their products to reach anyone on Little Atlas. Developers will not need to worry about building a community, they can discover many global web3 communities that are united under common interests.

How does it work?

In the short term:

  • You will be able to mint land tile NFTs in selected cities on the virtual map
  • The NFTs will be available on Solana, will be available on Solana NFT marketplaces
  • District tile sales will be coming in February (Make sure you follow the official social links below and join our Discord to not miss out on the sale in February!)

During the initial sale, you will be able to mint district tiles — which are around 500 metres in width. When we go through the main launch, every district tile will split into 4 smaller tiles that can be minted, which themselves split into 4 even smaller tiles, and so on.

In the future:

  • You can buy and sell land tile NFTs anywhere on the virtual map
  • Participate in the growth of the network

There is a hierarchy to tile ownership. Every land tile NFT has 4 potential minting slots underneath it — where a smaller sub-tile can be minted.

Any tile can earn revenue from the tiles minted under it (or as its community grows), providing a great opportunity for web3 communities to reinvest in themselves and NFT collectors to participate in the network’s growth.

As a result, future district tile owners and communities will be able to participate in airdrops from web3 developers building on top of Little Atlas.
