And The World Keeps Spinning

Five Years Of LBTD

Today, July 5th, marks five years of LBTD! It’s crazy to think all of this started five years ago. I am very thankful for the people I’ve met through this little account over the years- some have stuck around, and others have gone. The times have changed, and so has LBTD. From LBPfan to LBTD, there’s been many changes, and there are bound to be many more. Now, there have been some hard times in the past here at LBTD where I constantly debated with myself whether or not to put an end to this. There have been times when I felt somewhat under appreciated, and I felt like the effort I’ve spent on this account was for nothing. Some people really helped me with these hard times, and long story short, I’m glad to still be working on LBTD, and I love what I do here. I can never thank the folk who’s still by side enough. Here’s to many more years.

Double MVP Week

Since it is the week of our birthday, each post uploaded this week will have not one, but two LBTD MVPs! This is just another way to say thank you to all of you who’s stuck around with us.

The Working Man

For quite some time, LBTD was just a hobby, and it even kinda felt like a job. Of course, I like to think of LBTD as a nonprofit organization, bringing to you guys great content from great games. However, I am in need of some money for some things, a few things to benefit LBTD even. Pretty soon, I’ll actually be getting a real job, so this means the posting schedule on LBTD will change- posts will either go up later or earlier than usual so I’ll have the time to get posts up, while also being able to work and relax afterwards. It’s still a bit too early to talk about something I really wanna do with the LBTDlinks website, but me getting a job will help a lot with my big plans.

More Art, Less Sounds

I absolutely love sharing fan art made by the community on Fan Art Fridays. For quite some time, I’ve been trying to find three pieces of fan art to match a certain theme that also fits with a Companion Song. The games I cover on LBTD have such passionate fans, so fan art is constantly being created. It’s gotten to a point where it’s somewhat hard to keep up with the fan art the fans have made and sharing it on LBTD, sharing only three artworks each week. To help clear out my notifications a bit more on DeviantArt would be to upload more than three pieces of artwork each week. This is why I’ve decided to double the amount of fan art shared on Fan Art Fridays from three to six! However, having way more than three pieces of fan art shown off means it’ll be a bit harder to keep a consistent theme. This is why fan art posts will no longer have Companion Songs with them. So now I’ll be able to upload whatever fan art I’d like to share without having to worry too much about having a theme accompanied by a Companion Song.

Changing Up The Roster

As you guys can probably tell, I’m kinda slowly moving away from LittleBigPlanet content on LBTD as there really hasn’t been that much to share, not to mention the state of LBP3. Likewise, there’s currently a lack of Tearaway and Dreams content to share. Mercy and Torbjörn however, being from a still active game, seem to have been in the spotlight on LBTD. To combat the slight problem we have here at LBTD, I want to ask you guys what game you’d perhaps like to see added to the roster. There isn’t really any limitations on what could be added, however, I’d like to keep the theme we’ve got: Cutest Heroes in Gaming. So, any games you guys have in mind that feature fun and cute characters? Let me know.

Till Next Time

That’s all the latest LBTD news I’d like to share with you all! Happy 5th to this account, and I can’t wait to see what’s to come in the future. Till next time, happy gaming and safe travels, my friends.
