The Biggest Loser

No two people are the same
Different fathers, different mothers
People make it such a big game
That ‘we’ are ‘they’, ‘the others’
This game. The comparison game.
It is a lethal way that we live
There is an error in the way that we think
If they give, we must give
But we must give bigger, louder, and prouder
This is the formula to how we sink

When we compare, we feel that we’re building
On a foundation that we have founded
But we are purely, honestly, and truly losing
When we compare
We lose sight of our loved ones
We lose hearing of our songs
We lose smell of our burning passions
We lose touch with our original skin
We lose ourselves
That is The Biggest Loser

When she looks at him that way
You see that, that is not the way you look
When you want him to stay
You have nothing to say
It just is not the same, is it?
When he looks at her that way
You see that, that is not the way he looks
When you want him to admire you
You feel you are just being a fool
It just is not the same, is it?

No
It’s not the same
Stop
This comparison game

It is the formula to how you sink
The error in the way that you think

The way that you look at him
Is not how she looks at him
And how ‘she’ looks at ‘him’
It is not the same as how other ‘shes’ look at ‘hims’
The way that he looks at you
Is not how he looks at her
And how ‘he’ looks at ‘her’
It is not the same as how other ‘hes’ look at ‘hers’
But it will never be the same

Unfortunately for you
The hopeful you
You feel that you are building yourself
On an original foundation
Unfortunately for you
This is a borrowed foundation
Borrowed from your thoughts of
Better, worse, bigger, smaller
Greater, lesser, shorter, taller
Prettier, uglier, happier, sadder
Unfortunately for you
You find comfort in similarity
You find comfort in the comparison game
The game that you’ve fallen victim to
You are now The Biggest Loser

Fortunately for you
You now know how to unbury yourself
To find yourself underneath
Your borrowed foundation
To repair those who compare
Their greatest weaknesses with greatest strengths
Fortunately for you
All of those comparisons will never be fair
It comes to the point where you do not need to care
Fortunately for you
Whoever told you that your mind and body
Should be just as good or better than the person next to you
‘Whoever’ is the king of the comparison game

Do not push start
Do not play the game
Do not become The Biggest Loser
