How I Learned To Love My Small Boobs

Like many girls like me, my experience with puberty was no walk in the park. I mean I actually thought I was gonna die when I got my period for the first time.Yet, this part was one that I did not see coming at all.

See, I had always wanted bigger boobs. I never liked the fact that my boobs were so small. When my body was still changing, I kept hoping that they would grow. Eventually I had to accept the fact that my small boobs would always be well…small boobs.

As I got older, dealing with this insecurity of mine got even harder. I felt like my boobs were teeny tiny compared to so many others. I compared them to everyone from people in my own family to celebrities I saw on TV! Even my younger sister had bigger boobs than me!

I even got to the point where I started to consider getting work done on my body. At the time, I wasn’t old enough to get plastic surgery done on my own, as a minor, but it was definitely something I would want to get done once I was of age. I just didn’t feel like I could be happy with my body, until this change had taken place.

It wasn’t until I had a little help from my mom, that I finally began love my body just the way it is. She had also struggled with having small boobs, so I knew that her words would help me out.

She told me that while big boobs might look great, small chests can be beautiful too. While we are wishing ours were bigger there are other women wishing their boobs were smaller. As hard as it is not to envy what other women have, we must always be thankful for what we have as well.

Now, don’t get me wrong. There are still days when I look down and wish that my bra size could be just a little bigger. What is different now is that I have come to fully accept my body for what it is and love it, even at times when I feel insecure.

Do I always love my body? No, of course not. Would I change it? Absolutely not. Why? Because even though there are still days when I feel insecure and wish my boobs were bigger, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
