In the Beginning… The Origin of Hip Hop

Great post! I really enjoyed the part about Afrika Bambaataa and what his music did! It is inspiring that his music actually helped stop violence in the inner city. I liked the part how Bambaataa said that graffiti writing was a part of hip hop. Lots of tagging and graffiti are found in the inner city, and I bet that maybe a tag he had created was visible and helped be a reminder to the people living in the city to stop violence. Also, he added the fifth part, knowledge, which is so important in hip hop once you think about it. So many things must be thought about while producing and writing songs, so Bambaataa really hit the nail on the head.
