Misused mobile UX patterns
Zoltan Kollin

It’s very sad to see brusquely oversimplified and slimmed down interfaces like Material Design in the age of mobile processors and GPUs head and shoulders above hardware of glorious PDA skeuomorphic past. Lazy UX designer solutions and PM techniques, like Typhoid Mary, tend to infect whole ecosystems. Of course, when using Android one could install third-party launcher anytime. But maintainers of those also will be expected to follow cartoonish UX design guidelines. And they do follow more often than do not. But, aside from that, vanilla interfaces of all mobile OSes except maybe BB and Sailfish just suck.
