The Messaging Phenomenon Has Hardly Begun

Sometimes I wonder whether users aforementioned will adopt messengers such as WhatsApp or will be Adopted by them (see Niven & Benford’s Wok World sequence for more unexpected analogies). I tend to use relatively few messengers to fulfill my needs while preferring old school e-mail. Methinks e-mail still head & shoulders up all the messengers in flexibility and durability; also mobile chatting just drains too much juice out of my phone, with fat or anorexic battery all the same. I’m trying to use tweaked versions of chat clients to override stupid UX (this shitty Material Design seems to percolate everywhere on Android) and ergonomical decisions of software vendors like Microsoft, though. For example, Skype default light skin is unsuitable on AMOLED displays, contributing significant part of all high-class phone screens now, and so on. I understand I belong to minority of nowadays, but still kicking.
