On trying to love ‘Westworld’

Sounds a lot like Jurassic Park… till a moment of revelation when you understand the source of all that fuzz comes from 1973. Often I wonder why Crichton’s keynote of technopark run amok has reached an apex of popularity only with dinos and hookers, almost 20 years after Westworld. CGI of Crichton’s Westworld might have been looked pretty solid then as well as ground-breaking CGI of Jurassic Park on the eve of the second computer revolution. It bears also one of the very early, if not the first, mentions of computer virus in cinema.
