Boy Babydolls and Princess Builders: Rethinking the Pink Aisle
Brooke Moreland

Great article, Brooke, thank you! I consider myself a very intelligent, successful business woman and I can operate power tools like nobody’s business. And pink is my favorite color and I’m drawn to sparkly stuff like a crow.

Mega Blocks came out with a set of pastel colored blocks that built a house in the 90’s. My daughters and son received it for Christmas from my mom and they ALL played with it. In fact, it’s one of the toys that we still have left over. And they all equally played with my son’s miniature cars. Our four year old daughter is getting Barbie dolls and a toolbox for Christmas this year, because that’s what interests her. Kids just like playing. It’s the adults who complicate the situation.
