I can’t stop giggling, you have so many great points and your tone is so Eeyore. I write when the muse strikes. Sometimes I touch people and they think my writing is awesome. Other times, nobody gives a shit. I cannot yet determine the reason for either one of these things happening.
I had a goal as well — one story a week. Well, life intervened and I’m currently sitting in a house I just moved into, after deciding to move exactly 8 weeks ago. I’m surrounded by crap in boxes, doors off hinges, and I can’t find anything… and I’m supposed to write while this is going on? Maybe stronger people can set aside that time in the midst of chaos, but I’m with you, Dan. Break out the Candy Crush, because I need to be unconscious for awhile. I’ll get back to writing when I find my desk. Thank you for your honesty. Writing can really suck.
