Adventures in Poshmarking
Kimberly Lew

Well, this is timely. I’ve been trying to sell some stuff on Poshmark since January. I have sold 3 pieces, and made about $32. I was planning on pocketing the cash, but now I find myself sorely tempted by a a vintage leather handbag. While I like the concept, and it seems to be a better deal then selling to the consignment or resale shops in my area, I find all the additional labor — all the photographing of items and answering inane questions, following other users, sharing other users listings all the time, writing sweet notes and gussying up the packages with tissue paper and ribbon (all for an $8 used t-shirt) before shipping — to be a bit much.
