Professor Involved in Infant Rape Sentenced to 4 Months in Jail
Christopher DeZutter, a chemistry professor at the University of Minnesota, was arrested, 5 February 2015, and charged with ten possession and one distribution child pornography counts.
He was free on conditional release, without monetary surety, until his sentencing, 16 September 2015, when he received 120 days in jail and five years probation.
DeZutter told investigators he had been trading in child sex abuse images/videos since 1996.
Investigators said his university laptop was “full” of child sex abuse files.
DeZutter told law enforcement, upon his arrest, “You are not going find a lot of this at home. I do most of this at the office.”
The university barred DeZutter from campus after his February 2015 arrest. His employment was later fully terminated. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2010.
How many children were raped and tortured to feed DeZutter’s demand for child porn that he traded in extensively for nearly 20 years?
