From the few highlights that were posted I was none too impressed. Ndiaye looks almost immobile out there and can barely string a drop step together versus some college opponents. Ironically, he doesn’t have to lower body strength to bang in the low post. As a Spurs fan, the comparisons to our very own Boban Marjanovic are obvious. However, even as good/fun as Boban-mania was, he was a pet project at best (still much better than this guy) and wasn’t viable outside a few minutes throughout the playoffs.

Lacob’s commentary on striving to be “cutting edge” speaks to his own hubris. The owner of a basketball team should have little/nothing to say about the “creative direction” of the basketball team and how they play. That’s why you hire a GM. Otherwise, you can strive to imitate the Jerry Jones’s or Al Davis’s of the world and micromanage your team into the ground.
