Sometimes movies also depict memories of a lifetime which help us come out of situations and life challenges. However apart from all this movies are the purest form of entertainment and the entire movie experience becomes surreal if the movie is outstanding.
Romance, action, thriller, suspense, horror, musical, comedy, drama, science fiction, animated are common genre of the movies that we currently see. However the thrill, excitement and nail biting drama that surrounds the robbery themed movies, is unmatched. It takes you to an unparalleled world that seems to coexist with the real world. These movies define the robbery in an intelligent thought of plan that seems to catch the excitement of the viewers. I am a big time movie buff and have created my very own list of top 10 Hollywood Robbery movies of all times.

- The Town (2010)
As he plans his next job, a longtime thief tries to balance his feelings for a bank manager connected to one of his earlier heists, as well as the FBI agent looking to bring him and his crew down. This movie was a close adaptation of the novel called ‘Prince of Thieves’ and was quite liked by the audience.
2. The Heat (1995)
A group of professional bank robbers start to feel the heat from police when they unknowingly leave a clue at their latest heist. This movie made modern-day history because it was the first time two of the great actors of this generation — Pacino and Robert De Niro — finally acted together in the same film. Those two didn’t disappoint, either. They were great to watch and one of the huge highlights of the film, to me, was when they faced each other in a simple conversation over a cup of coffee.
3. Now You See Me (2013)
An FBI agent and an Interpol detective track a team of illusionists who pull off bank heists during their performances and reward their audiences with the money. This movie is a true work of art and illusion in the most subtle manner. Leaves you spellbound and wondering as to what happened and HOW?
4. The Takers (2010)
A group of bank robbers find their multi-million dollar plan interrupted by a hard-boiled detective. In between thundering loud bullet exchanges and lightning fast pursuits ‘Takers’ have its moments of thrill and suspense.
5. Ocean’s Eleven (2001)
Perhaps, one of the finest movies on casino robbery. Danny Ocean and his eleven accomplices plan to rob three Las Vegas casinos simultaneously. And boy, do they do it in style. A bit of fun and sarcasm adds the cherry on the cake as far as dialogues are written. A must watch! Director Steven Soderbergh has done justice to each and every character.
6. The Italian Job ( 2003)
A perfect revenge plot executed by Charlie Croker and his team after they are double crossed by a gang member who parts away with $35 Million worth of gold bars. This is a great story perfectly executed. The handsome Jason Statham is a treat to the eyes and plays Handsome Rob perfectly.
7. Die Hard (1988)
Die Haaaaard! John McClane, officer of the NYPD, tries to save his wife Holly Gennaro and several others that were taken hostage by German terrorist Hans Gruber during a Christmas party at the Nakatomi Plaza in Los Angeles. The odds were against John, but he just likes it that ways. A classic of its times and loved by millions.
8. Inside Man (2006)
A police detective, a bank robber, and a high-power broker enter high-stakes negotiations after the criminal’s brilliant heist spirals into a hostage situation. From a cell, a man tells us he has planned the perfect bank robbery; he invites us to watch. An efficient gang enters a Manhattan bank, locks the doors, and takes hostages. They work deliberately, without haste. Detective Frazier is assigned to negotiate, but half his mind is occupied with the corruption charges he is facing. Will he be able to stop them in the tracks? Look out for Denzel Washington
9. Reservoir Dogs (1992)
Six criminals, who are strangers to each other, are hired by a crime boss, Joe Cabot, to carry out a diamond robbery. Right at the outset, they are given false names with the intention that they won’t get too close and will concentrate on the job instead. They are completely sure that the robbery is going to be a success. But, when the police show up right at the time and the site of the robbery, panic spreads amongst the group members, and two of them are killed in the subsequent shootout, along with a few policemen and civilians. The surviving criminals begin to suspect that one of them is a police informant. A perfect mix of Crime, Drama and thriller!

Dominic Toretto and his crew of street racers plan a massive heist to buy their freedom while in the sights of a powerful Brazilian drug lord and a dangerous federal agent. Fast five and subsequent parts being made with a new but continued story line.
