No One Has it Figured Out for You
Two years ago I went to everyone and anyone who I felt that was a “success” and asked if I could pick their brain as a college student who wanted to end up like them.
It worked. A lot of “successful” people were more than willing to talk about themselves and about all the stuff they’ve accomplished.
But when I asked them how I can do the same, it was all the same generic answer… “work hard.”
There’s a lot of people working hard but they’re not working smart and because of this they never reached the status that our society deems to be “successful”.
That’s not a dis to hard work. I believe hard work is a requirement of success, but it’s only one variable out of many and no one has a grocery list of bullet points that will inevitability bring you success.
The reason why they can’t offer you that type of wisdom is because they haven’t lived the life you have and been exposed to the experiences you’ve had along the way. Our lives are unique to us and us alone and that’s a part of success that no one else has access to besides ourselves.
Along with following the fundamentals of working hard, staying committed to your purpose, and over coming failures comes a mix of experiences that you have to live threw and understand while on the route to success.
No one has it figured out for you because no one “is” you.
