Politics Really Means Relationships
When we look at someone who gets that “lucky” position at a certain job or organization, sometimes we blame politics rather than give credit to the person for reaching that place on their own merits.
We’ve often heard the saying “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know” but I’d like to take that a step further. I believe the saying should be “It’s not who you know but who knows you” and it takes work for people to know you and to cultivate and maintain healthy relationships.
