The movie feels to me like a real work of lovely art.

Born and raised in West Homestead, Pennsylvania, Jeffrey Goldblum was born on October 22nd 1952. His mother was a radio broadcaster and his father was a doctor. When he was 9 years old, his parents brought him to the theater and where he became intrigued and fell in love with the world of acting. At 17 years old he decided to pursue his dreams and moved to New York to become an actor. Studying with legendary coach Stanford Meinsner, he made his Broadway debut starring in the Shakespeare play, Two Gentlemen of Verona. He then started featuring in several films in the 1970s before landing leading roles in the 1980s. However, he hit it big and became a major star in many blockbusters in the 1990s. His filmography in the last 4 decades include movies such as Death Wish (1974), Into The Night (1985) with Michelle Pfeiffer, the Jurassic Park series, the Independence Day movies and The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014) alongside Ralph Fiennes.

I’ve been lucky. And thank goodness the (sci-fi films) I’ve done have been good movies. I feel like some kind of lucky star has, for now, shone on me.

Aside from acting, Goldblum also plays music. A skilled pianist, he’s part of a band called The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra with fellow actor Peter Weller. He headlines his own freestyle jazz night here and there. He was also a member of jury for the Cannes Film Festival in 1999. Since 2015, he started playing the most important role in his life. He became father to his first child, Charlie Ocean, on Independence Day. He and his wife, Emilie Livingston welcomed their 2nd son, River Joe in April 2017.

You can catch Jeff in Thor: Ragnarok on November 3rd in theatres. He will be playing the role of The Grandmaster, a game-playing elder. We will also see him as Dr. Ian Malcolm in the upcoming 2018 movie Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Jeff Goldblum will reprise the role in the upcoming sci-fi film. He had portrayed the character in the original Jurassic film in 1993 and its sequel in 1997.

It’s nice to play a character that has a soulful, dependent, close relationship. It must mean my character is interesting in some way.”
