I know who I am!
Why do we allow the society to define who we are when the society, so intractable, hardly changes its impression of people?
This problem is pervasive even in Christendom. Did you ever read the story of ‘the prodigal son’? He was a prodigal son, and yet he returned home to his father. Till today he’s still known by the world as ‘the prodigal son’.
The bible also talks about ‘the woman with the issue of blood’ . She also got healed, and yet today she is still remembered as that ‘woman with the issue of blood’.
So why do we allow society to define who we are, when it’s so unforgiving?
I know who I am!!!
- I am a new Creation in Christ!
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17
2. I’m a Royal!
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9
3. I am no longer condemned!
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1
4. I am a child of God!
But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, John 1:12
It doesn’t matter what you did in your past! You may have been a bloody liar, but in Christ, you are a new Creation! Hallelujah! Society may not agree but the one who’s opinion matters (Jesus) agrees.
Don’t let your past define you. I know who I am!
