Entering the Earth

Here we are dear ones, the start of a new week! Today I would like to talk about entering the earth and empowerment, and how the two are always closely linked.

Throughout the history of spirituality and religion the earth and matter have been pitted against the nobility of the spirit, the impulses and desires of the soul. But this is not really true at all, not in the least, and from this unnecessary adversarial opposition we as humans have been left at best half-developed, half or less of what we could possibly be.

Nobility is entering the earth triumphantly, it is allowing the full expression and development of our being, the chance to be a whole human full of diverse instincts, drives and creations, the gift to be real and true and deeply courageous. But what does such an entering into the earth look like?

Heaven is a metaphor, it is a miracle we possess within ourselves and which we have the opportunity to build and nurture and recreate when we actively engage with our lives. Coming into the earth means saying yes to the facts of our daily life, that we live in a world which will make challenges and demands on us, but that these tasks are never meant to be something which sink us, defeat us. Life and the true spirit of this earth never want to see us derailed or confounded, deflated and in such a rut we can scarcely see the horizon anymore. I believe in the goodness of this life not by blind allegiance but by experience. You must come to experience anything before it becomes alive and active in your life.

But how to experience this when everything on your inside screams out the opposite? When you have lost faith, lost confidence, been cast off from genuine love, encouragement and support? You have to be honest with your own feelings, you must open yourself up in a vulnerable and honest way. Any anger, resentment, betrayals, or judgements must be met, reconciled, faced with a courageous and forgiving heart. Forgiveness is courage in this life, to be brave is to open your heart back up, first to yourself and then to those in your life and community.

This earth is where the gift of your very soul gets to be expressed, shared, exchanged. Yes, your gift may not be welcomed with open arms the first time you come forward. Persistence, grit of soul and heart is essential. Perseverance is never giving up on yourself, not giving up on the gift of your soul. Be ready to go on an adventure, one leading you into the vast beauty and uncertainty of your own majestic unknown, those territories buried deep within your inner forests and seas. This is where your treasure lies, and when you come across it, be ready for an equally daring and courageous journey back into the world, so your discovery can be shared.

I believe in you unconditionally, absolutely, I know you have something unique and positive and healing to share. We are here to lean on one another for support. But always remember, the miracle we are building and developing exists right here in this world, none other. This earth is our palace, this is where our great magic finds its noblest expressions. Come into the earth, let yourself be seen, we have all been waiting for you, we need you, we believe in you always!
