How to Fix a Broken Culture — Part 10 of 30

The fighting spirit, the human soul, the seat of consciousness…

Whatever you call it, we are and have always been duly aware of the crucial role it plays in the awesomeness of humans.

The idea of willpower, of thoughts, and of inspiration all stem from here.

The structures of faith, morality, and ambition are born from here.

The Laws of Attraction and Compensation are rooted here.

There is no need for me to even talk about this, one can find an uncountable number of resources online about various spiritual concepts. One can find a couple millenia’s worth of holy scriptures outlining the religiosity of the spirit. One can find a lifetime’s worth of spiritual wisdom from one’s elders.

What I want to outline, is the physiological proof of the spirit and its power. The scientific facts that have been regarded as pseudo, woowoo science for decades now.

Though we may not be ‘wired’ to believe in a higher power, the need for connection with others and the world in general is indeed an evolutionary (or ‘built in’) feature of we humans as social beings.

Spiritualism is the key method we can use to connect with others and with our environment.

Mindfulness, meditation, and the various fusions/derivatives of these are the basic tools for practicing spiritualism.

Meditation is the most long-standing and efficient method we use to connect with ourselves and the world around us. This practice is powerful for a reason. Not only does it measurably grow grey matter and a host of other very real brain improvements, but mindfulness in meditation is now shown to increase our overall health.

So we can empower ourselves, and thus a community, by simply learning to breathe deeply for at least 5 minutes a day. During which we can calmly analyze our own thoughts, observe the problems facing us, and devise plans to overcome.

Take hold of your mind, body, and spirit to ‘fix’ yourself.. and aide your community.
