Strength in Mind…

How to Fix a Broken Culture — Part 8 of 10

Racism is kind of a ‘mind game’.

There is a win-state and a lose-state, there is a set of unspoken rules and some guidelines, plenty ‘player pain’ there to keep things interesting,… but not much fun; perhaps that is because we are viewing it from the wrong side of the fence…

Nonetheless, we have established that victimizing, being negative and down about our situation does not help. If anything it just makes it all the worse for ourselves, our family, friends, and our community.

So why not be positive about it? Why not take these frustrations and gamify them instead of villainize them?

Why not treat ‘the struggle’ as fuel for our art, ingenuity, and drive instead of as an excuse posed as the ‘reason’ why we are still poor and powerless?

Why not look at the haters, bigots, and ignoranti as the NPCs, the ‘mobs’, and the obstacles that are simply items for experience and ‘loot’ after we combat or overcome them?

I mean… I’m not saying be sociopathic… but….

No, no buts haha.

Socio/psychopaths are apparently more likely to take leadership positions, but that may not be very healthy…

What I am suggesting is a mindset of self-empowerment.
To not allow anyone else; no stranger, family, or friend, to take away your own self-control and self-confidence by telling you can't do something.
To not allow anyone to say that you have to do something (that you actually hate doing).

To not allow anyone or anything to eff you up…
To not allow anyone or anything to rob you of your power to create.

We need to spread this sense of personal empowerment.

Those who do not think this is possible, who fail to let themselves be empowered and continue to let so many outside influences … influence them, will simply continue being impotent, disadvantaged, and part of the problem.

Those who refuse to use their minds to its fullest potential in order to cast out the taint of negative or restrictive influences are asking to be themselves cast out or to the bottom of the economic system and relevance.

Those who are not strong minded will never find satisfaction, and will be in a constant state of loss and sadness.

These people only serve to maintain the ‘Mentality of Slavery.’

We who use our minds to overcome our adversities and not be shaken by failure or naysayers are bound to grow and move beyond this state of impotence.

We who use our minds to divorce the despair and despondence from our disadvantaged situations will learn the skills of grit and perseverance to be utilized in the pursuit of our ambitions.

We who use our minds to educate ourselves and empower ourselves and help ourselves to the feast of knowledge will gain a place at our own table.

We who use our minds to combat negativity with creativity will be happy.

But outside influences are not the only things we must combat. Our bodies can rebel against us as well. Thus, we not only have to be of sound mind, but also able-bodied to best set ourselves up for success.
