Enjoyed reading this! I think a lot of people hide from the bad impulses inside of them. When this happens the bad impulses exert more control over a person. I think it is clear that we are biological creatures with good and bad inside of us, but I do think the good (capacity to cooperate and to love) outweighs the bad. Our environments can mess this up for sure, but I do believe we have slightly more good. This also fits well with the Carl Jung idea of integrating the shadow. I think a fully integrated person is one who has the capacity for violence and evil but chooses good.

The topic also reminds me of this quote: “”It is better to be a warrior in a garden than to be a gardener in a war.”
