Nice message, thanks for writing. It reminds me of how Sharon Salzberg talks about love. She always says something to the effect of, “love is not a feeling, it’s an ability”. I think the same can be said about gratitude as well. Although it can be hard to find both of those emotions at times, they are always there in some way. I have found that having a mantra or doing something like loving kindness meditation everyday helps keep those emotions strong and more easily accessible.
