Voting is Your Voice

Primary elections are Tuesday, Aug. 2

One of the things that makes our nation great is the freedom and responsibility to elect those who represent us.

It is our civic duty both as Americans, and as Michiganders, to go out and case our vote in elections. Our government was designed for the participation of citizens, and voting is how we are able to participate. Voting is how we voice our opinions, and generate change within government, at the local, state and national level.

The August 2016 primary election takes place tomorrow, Tuesday August 2nd. Unfortunately only 1 in 5 people typically vote in a Primary election. Michiganders are extraordinary in so many ways and LG Calley hopes we can be extraordinary in taking advantage of our right to vote. Exercise your civic duty and honor the sacrifices of so many before us who fought to give us this right. Voting on Aug. 2 will help determine which candidates will be featured on the Nov. 8 general election ballot.
