Save .ts video to .mp4 using AviDemux

This is a guide on how to use Avidemux to convert .ts Elgato Gaming recordings to .mp4.

Required software

• Avidemux

Steps to convert .ts file to .mp4

1. Install Avidemux.
2. Open Avidemux.
3. At the top left, click on file, then open.
4. Navigate to the egc_library folder. By default, this is under videos.
5. Once in egc_library, find the folder that has the video in it that you want to convert to .mp4
6. Find and double click on the .ts file you want to open.
7. The video should show up in Avidemux and play.
8. On the left sidebar, under Video Output and Audio Output, make sure they’re set to copy.
9. From the Output Format drop down box, choose MP4v2 Muxer.
10. Now click on File and then on Save.
11. You can now choose the location and the name of the saved video file.
12. Now just hit save.

Avidemux will now convert the .ts file to .mp4. The speed and time it takes may depend on factors such as hard drive speed, CPU speed and length of the video.
